The individual appeal to the European Court of Human Rights: criminal law profiles
On 20 May 2024, Attorney-at-law Federica Liparoti was a speaker at the webinar "The individual appeal to the European Court of Human Rights: criminal law profiles". The aim of the webinar was to deepen the mechanisms for the protection of fundamental rights under the ECHR, with particular reference to the individual appeal procedure to the Strasbourg Court. The procedure, the founding principles of ECHR jurisprudence as well as some of the main rights protected by the Convention were examined, with particular reference to the analysis of the jurisprudence on the criminal profile of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects the right to a fair trial.
