📌 we delved into the possibilities of using AI as a tool for crime prevention and at the decision-making stage, i.e., with a "predictive" function, in light of the current regulatory framework, outlined - first and foremost - by the Council of Europe's European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ)'s 2018 "European Ethical Charter for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Justice Systems and Related Environments," as well as Article 22 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and Council of April 27, 2016, No. 679 (GDPR);
